There are two primary layers of Dasha timing.
Mahadasha is the major planetary period. It sets the overall theme of years.
Antardasha is the sub period within the Mahadasha. It refines the activation.
For example, if someone is running Saturn Mahadasha, the overall life theme may involve discipline, delay, responsibility, or chronic patterns. If within that Saturn Mahadasha, Mars Antardasha begins, inflammation, surgery, or acute stress may occur.
Health events often happen when both Mahadasha and Antardasha connect to disease houses.
Here is a simplified pattern guide.
Saturn Mahadasha often correlates with chronic conditions, bone issues, aging, depression, or long term fatigue.
Mars Mahadasha often correlates with accidents, inflammation, surgeries, high blood pressure, or sudden fevers.
Rahu Mahadasha often correlates with foreign pathogens, toxins, anxiety disorders, unusual symptoms, or misdiagnosis.
Ketu Mahadasha may correlate with autoimmune disorders, spiritual withdrawal, sudden weakness, or energy loss.
Moon Mahadasha often activates hormonal imbalance, emotional health issues, sleep disorders, or fluid retention.
Mercury Mahadasha frequently activates nervous system issues, gut disorders, anxiety, respiratory imbalance, or skin conditions.
Sun Mahadasha may activate heart strain, burnout, blood pressure issues, or identity linked stress.
Jupiter Mahadasha can expand weight related issues, liver imbalance, or metabolic conditions if afflicted. When strong, it supports recovery.
Venus Mahadasha often activates reproductive health themes, kidney balance, sugar metabolism, or relationship induced stress patterns.
No Dasha is inherently negative. It depends entirely on the planet’s placement in the natal chart.
